At the Fish residence, the transformation was about more than just landscaping, it was about reclaiming their connection to their home and the natural beauty that surrounds it. Originally, the homeowners had designed their yard themselves and hired various subcontractors to execute the work. Despite backing up to a stunning desert preserve, the final result never lived up to their expectations. For years they avoided using their outdoor space, feeling disappointed by the missed opportunity. Ready for a fresh start, they came to us with a new vision: to create an outdoor living space they’d be proud to share and truly enjoy. We designed a layered, inviting landscape that embraces the mountain views and natural desert terrain. With multiple levels, a wood-burning firepit and gas firepit, pavers, turf, trees, and carefully selected plantings, their new space is both functional and restorative. Now, the Fish family has a backyard that feels peaceful, purposeful, and perfectly integrated with its surroundings: a space they finally enjoy every day.
