Project Description
The Bruce family’s home sat on a hillside and suffered from severe drainage issues during heavy rains. Runoff from neighboring properties sent mud and debris across their driveway and into their front yard, making the space both unsightly and unusable. Our solution focused on managing water first, without sacrificing aesthetics. We designed and installed a comprehensive drainage system that included strategically placed retention areas, water collection points, functional river runs, and dry wells to safely redirect and control stormwater. These elements not only solved the drainage problem but were thoughtfully integrated into the landscape to feel natural and intentional.
Once the drainage was addressed, we transformed the awkwardly shaped front yard into a functional, family-friendly space. By incorporating turf, we created a clean, durable play area for their young children while softening the overall look of the property. The result is a front yard that works hard behind the scenes, stays clean during storms, and looks polished year-round.
