Dixon

Project Description

Located in a highly desirable neighborhood, the Dixons loved where they lived but knew their home needed a refresh. With older kids and a busy lifestyle, they wanted to modernize both the interior and exterior so the spaces felt cohesive, functional, and inviting; an extension of one another.

Their backyard had great bones with mature trees and plenty of potential, but poor drainage, uneven pavers, and a poorly positioned BBQ made the space feel closed off and underused. By removing the old BBQ and rethinking the layout, we were able to open up the yard and create a seamless flow for both everyday living and entertaining.

A new 20-foot custom outdoor kitchen complete with a sink, smoker, griddles, and built-in appliances; became the showpiece of the space, positioned off to the side to preserve the openness of the space. We also added a new firepit just off the main patio, creating a natural gathering area for family and friends.

Now, the Dixons enjoy morning coffee outside, dinner under the trees, and regular evenings hosting guests in a backyard that finally matches the modern look and feel of their newly remodeled home.
